Bio-information ( Information Bacteria)


We change the direction back to the bio-information. In the recent 5 years, the information explosion exceeded our expectations. The space of human information is now doubling every 18 months (Velshi, 2017). The digital information continues to accumulate higher density and the longer-term storage solution is necessary (Church et al, 2012, p1628). After ten years, we will exchange much more information than today. In order to solve the problem of information explosion and seek the new development opportunity for human information technology and the human civilization, a new way to store,  access and communicate information is necessary. I think that’s the WHY. We think about to the use bacteria as a new media to exchange information because we exchange bacteria every day.

Information Bacteria
According to Tang and Liu ( 2018), the information can be erased and re-recorded in multiple cycles in the bacterias and mammalian cells. This posed a great possibility that people can use biological information in the future.

We present to design a kind of information bacteria. The bacteria will be sold in the store. People can use a device to record the information into the bacteria (It may be an information hand cream). When people want to exchange the information they just need to touch some bacteria. The bacteria will be exchanged by the hand check to others. A bio-information centre will be put on the skin of the arm, the information bacteria will move to be store in the centre, so people can wash our hand but do not lose the information.The information will be used in many different scenarios which from newspaper to music. It will emerge in every corner of the city and every scenarios people exchange the information. 

The bio-information centre store all the information bacteria which people receive for the whole day. People can use a Super MINON to sequence the DNA information and store the bacteria into a personal bio-information library. It will clearly record the information that people give and receive day by day. This information consists a memory library of people. With the recent information storage, it will cost a large volume to store this information, however, thanks to the advantage of DNA information storage the volume will be very small (maybe it is a memory bacteria or a flower).

The information bacteria will help us to deal with information explosion. In the future, the volume of information will be much larger than now, For Example, the future newspapers and name cards are not just pictures and words, maybe every news is a 4D holographic experience. Information bacteria are good at exchanging this big information. Moreover, the information bacteria is much more reliable than the digital devices and cloud storage. People can store their information in their own memory bacteria instead of uploading it into cloud storage.
